Lighting and Rendering (01:16:21)
What can the real world teach us about lighting in modo? If you were doing a photo shoot in a studio, your goal is to completely control light. You want to control every reflection. You even want to control where light will bounce. In this video we explore real photo studio techniques to drive the realism already possible in modo renders to a whole new level. You will see how simulating reflector cards and soft boxes, particularly when they need to appear as reflections in your subject, can add a dimension to your renders not often seen in 3D. You will learn how to use and adjust irradiance cache and render settings to get clean GI renders, even with 2 bounces. You will find that photographic realism is easily possible with just a few tricks. (1 video)
