Remember that post I wrote, on the old blog, about the future of AI? I said that the day would come when you could type a prompt into an AI tool, asking it to make you a two hour, sci-fi, action movie about alien robots invading Earth, with a diverse cast of people coming together to stop them. The AI would calculate for a few minutes, and then you could watch your movie, fully rendered, photorealistic and on the level of any Hollywood blockbuster.
Well, Sora, an upcoming text-to-video tool from OpenAI, is the first step towards making that a reality.
